Beware bundling

NipomoOctober 16, 2013

Robert Olson’s Oct. 15 letter reminded me why I didn’t “bundle” when Charter began offering the program some years back. At the time, I gave it serious consideration, but I realized that my Internet service, through Charter, had experienced outages several times each year. As I thought about having my landline phone, Internet and TV through a cable company, I realized that if it went out, I’d have no phone service at all except for my sometimes fragile cellphone.

In 13 years living here in Nipomo, I can’t recall a single time my landline phone service has been unavailable. I can’t count the number of times my electric service and cable Internet line have gone dead. If you’re considering bundling, think it over carefully.
