Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo roll in PAC 7 girls volleyball

Templeton and Morro Bay also cruise to league wins

Ashlyn Herlihy had 19 kills to lead the Arroyo Grande High girls volleyball team in a 25-14, 25-16, 25-15 sweep over St. Joseph on Tuesday night.

Alaina Hogeboom had 41 assists for the Eagles (15-8, 7-0 PAC 7). Jamie Walsh had eight kills, and Kacee Fox had a team-high 21 digs.

San Luis Obispo 3, Pioneer Valley 0

The Tigers handled Pioneer Valley, winning 25-10, 26-24, 25-19. 

Holland Boege led San Luis Obispo (15-7, 5-2 PAC 7) with seven kills, and Amelia Anderson added six more. Cambria Joyce had 21 assists. 

Righetti 3, Paso Robles 0

The Warriors swept the Bearcats 25-23, 25-19, 25-17. 

Morgan Lawson had nine kills and four digs, and Maddi Chace had eight kills and three blocks for Paso Robles (8-10, 1-6 PAC 7). Chloe Kerns had 18 assists and three digs for Paso Robles.

Templeton 3, Lompoc 1

The visiting Eagles beat the Braves 25-15, 18-25, 25-20, 25-15 as Lauren Ralston had nine kills and two blocks, and Mari Stewart had nine kills and two aces.

Josi Kelly had 17 assists and two aces for Templeton (11-1, 6-1 Los Padres League), and Cece Mazzaratto had 15 assists and three aces. Marissa Torres had 27 digs, and Lucy Portillo had five kills and three blocks. 

Morro Bay 3, Cabrillo 1

The Pirates topped the Conquistadores 25-13, 25-23, 16-25, 25-19. 

Sybella Paredes led Morro Bay (10-10, 4-3 LPL) with 10 kills, four aces and 13 digs, and Kassie McClory had seven kills, four aces and 14 digs. 

Dani Donaldson also tallied four aces and had 25 assists, and Sierra Emrick had five kills and four blocks.

North County Christian 3, Shandon 0 

The Crusaders  won at home 25-10, 25-16, 25-19 against the Outlaws.

Aliyah Morrison led North County Christian (10-6-3, 6-1 Coast Valley League) with 12 kills and nine aces. Hannah Miller recorded 17 assists, Kelsie McRoy logged 13 assists and six aces, and Madison Morrison added six digs for the Crusaders, who are in second place in the CVL behind Coastal Christian. 

Coast Union 3, Coastal Christian 1 

The Broncos beat the Conquerors 25-15, 25-20, 23-25, 25-21.

Xue DiMaggio tallied eight kills for Coast Union (6-6, 5-2 CVL), and Itzel Saavedra had seven kills and 20 digs. Sage Radecki led the Broncos with 25 assists and had 15 digs, and Cristina Plasencia had 27 digs.

Bethany Young led Coastal Christian (15-5, 7-1 CVL) with 10 kills, 17 digs, two aces and two blocks. Audrey Berdar tallied 23 assists, and Roni Garrison had 23 digs, eight kills and two aces. 

Isabelle Unger had four kills and 22 digs for the Conquerors.  

GIRLS GOLF

San Luis Obispo 218, Pioneer Valley 277

San Luis Obispo’s Neha Sikand was the medalist with an even-par 35 on the front nine at Dairy Creek Golf Course.

Nora Zakaria shot a 42, Bee Soll had a 46, Lisa Figueroa added a 47, and Shelby Thomas had a 48 for San Luis Obispo (8-1, 4-1 PAC 7).

Paso Robles 261, Atascadero 276

Atascadero’s McKenzi Etchison was the medalist with an 11-over 46 on the front nine at Chalk Mountain Golf Course. 

Violet Lopez shot a 47 to led the Bearcats, and Jaclyn Callahan shot a 48.

St. Joseph 251, Arroyo Grande 255

The Knights’ Desiree Gillaspy was the medalist with a 2-over 38 on the back nine at Cypress Ridge Golf Course.

Tessa Oates led the Eagles (6-3, 2-3 PAC 7) with a 46, followed by Rachel Harris with a 47. Jade Bewley and Kinsey McBryde each shot a 52.

GIRLS TENNIS

Paso Robles 10, Atascadero 8

The Bearcats swept all nine singles sets to beat the Greyhounds at home.

Maddie Berry won 6-0, 6-0, 6-1 for Paso Robles (9-5, 5-4 PAC 7). Lindsey Horst won 6-0, 6-0, 6-1, and Katie Evenson won 6-0, 6-1, 6-4.

The doubles team of Sierra Walcott and Lulu Mack swept 6-1, 6-1, 6-0 for Atascadero (2-8, 1-7). 

The Atascadero team of Charlotte Holt and Victoria Thek swept 7-5, 6-3, 6-3, and the team of Natalie Manier and Maddie Leong won two out of three sets.

Arroyo Grande 18, Pioneer Valley 0

A slew of sweeps for the Eagles was capped off by Melina Rodger’s perfect 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 singles wins. 

Mekayla Landers and Pearl Kim nearly matched the feat, sweeping 6-1, 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-2, 6-0, respectively. 

The doubles teams of Joanne Phung and Angelina Gagliano and Olivia Madison and Mary Waterman also swept for Arroyo Grande (12-1, 9-0 PAC 7).

Nipomo 11, Templeton 7

The doubles team of Ashley Jimenez and Monica Guerrero swept 6-3, 6-1, 6-1 to lead the Titans (6-6, 3-5 LPL).

The doubles team of Sydney Roberts and Mikayla Costello and of Maria Alcantar and Sydney Slaven each won two out of three sets.

Milianna Prost swept 6-2, 6-3, 6-0 for Templeton.

Orcutt Academy 17, Coast Union 1

Melissa Mathieson won the only set for the Broncos (3-10).

Cabrillo 18, Mission Prep 0

The Royals (0-10) were shut out at Cabrillo (8-4).

BOYS WATER POLO

Righetti 24, Atascadero 5

Dylann Linnenkamp had two goals for Atascadero, but the Greyhounds lost.

Blake Archibald, Jack Fisher and Dylan Hughes also scored for Atascadero (8-13, 1-3 PAC 7).
