Cuesta College’s volleyball team swept Ventura on the road.

The Cougars (8-4, 1-1 Western State Conference) won 25-20, 25-23, 25-12.

“We had some lulls in our performance in the first and second sets,” Cuesta head coach Roche Nystrom said. “I really like the way we responded in the third. We were focused and driven and we didn’t have any lulls. Overall, it was a good night for us.”

Outside hitter Whitney Meyer tallied 12 kills and 18 digs, Riley Cooks had seven kills and 19 digs, and Paige Waymire posted five kills for the Cougars.
