Ride 2 Recovery

Pismo BeachOctober 9, 2013

On Oct. 16, 200 cyclists, many of them injured veterans from the Afghanistan war, will be riding through the Central Coast. Show your support as they make their way through the San Luis Obispo downtown area in front of the courthouse at around 1:50 p.m.

The Oceano Elementary School Bike Posse will ride with the veterans on Oct. 17 as they pass through downtown Oceano. Come join the rest of the students in Oceano to cheer for these brave men and women who sacrificed so much for our country.

Finally, there will be a dinner provided for the veterans by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Pismo Beach. Enthusiastic supporters this year are the New Belgium Brewing Company, McClintocks and Branch Street Deli. If you would like to buy a dinner as a show of gratitude for a service person, please send a $10 check to Ride 2 Recovery, P.O. Box 764, Pismo Beach, CA 93448. Include a short note which will be given to the soldiers. Checks are made payable to “Ride 2 Recovery.” For more information, go to: http://www/ride2recovery.com .
