Disappointed in vote

Paso RoblesOctober 9, 2013

My thanks to all who were in favor of extending the Interim Urgency Ordinance.

I cannot begin to describe my deep disappointment with Supervisor Debbie Arnold’s vote and her reasons for this.

My husband and I are in complete support of the extension of this ordinance as well as the language in the Resolution on Vested Rights. It doesn’t seem detrimental to current crops but prevents further frenzied growth that will drain more water. This should help extend the life of our water basin considerably in a fair and equitable manner.

I hope Supervisor Arnold will realize voting against the extension will do more harm than good by destroying residential properties and forcing families to move after losing everything they’ve invested in their homes and land.
