Its no secret that the Central Coast is a wonderful place to live The Happiest Place in America even. But a silent epidemic remains in this happy place. Every year, thousands of people in our community experience violence and abuse at the hands of their intimate partner.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a designated time for us to learn about the presence of domestic violence on the Central Coast and to take steps to build a community free of abuse. The Womens Shelter Program of San Luis Obispo is committed to the prevention of abuse, the intervention of abuse and the provision of services to survivors of intimate partner violence in San Luis Obispo County. Please join us at one of our events and become a part of the work we are doing to build a community free of abuse.
