I love reading letters to the editor to hear different views that give me a new perspective. However, Sept. 26s letters were almost shocking in their narrow-mindedness and ignorance.
One writer believes we should be delaying Obamacare until all the bumps have been resolved. While Obamacare is far from perfect, if we wait until there are no more bumps, there will never be a health care plan. Health care is fundamental and should be available to all, even in an imperfect form. (I do agree the chances of Congress dealing quickly with anything are almost nil.)
Second writer: Clearly, you have no idea what it is like to try to support yourself or a family on $10/hour if you think $10/hour for a basic wage is too much.
Third writer: Do you real ly believe that drivers licenses make you eligible for programs such as hospital use, schooling, food stamps, etc.? As for allowing undocumented access to drivers licenses, that should increase our revenue, not decrease it. It should make for safer drivers who have to pass tests to receive a license and also have auto insurance.
