Artists’ reception set for Friday

‘Fall Impressions,” a juried exhibit at the Cambria Center for the Arts, opens with an artists’ reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at 1350 Main St., Cambria. Admission is free; the public is welcome. Monetary awards will be given out at the reception.

Dotty Hawthorne is the juror for the exhibit. Her paintings have won numerous awards in local, regional and national shows. She is active in plein air festivals and also focuses on environmental concerns as a member of San Luis Outdoor Painters for the Environment (SLOPE).

The show continues through Nov. 3. The gallery is open 1 to 4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. For details, go to
