The recent Navy Yard tragedy brought the number of mass shootings in the United States to at least 16 for 2013.
We are once again faced with the divisive subject of gun control. I would think every responsible gun owner would be demanding reasonable measures to do everything possible to keep guns out of the reach of criminals and the mentally ill.
If you are serious about defending your castle and family with firearms, then you should support standardized measures such as background checks, competency training, licensing, waiting periods, magazine size and closing gun show loopholes nationwide.
The National Rifle Association, funded by the weapons industry, will continue its fear-mongering tactics by mistakenly blathering about Second Amendment rights no matter how many senseless, yet preventable, deaths occur. According to the Center for Disease Control, almost 25,000 deaths from gun violence have occurred in the United States since the Newtown massacre. When will there enough?
