Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival kicks off Friday

The 76th annual Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival will be held Friday and Saturday in the Village of Arroyo Grande.

During the parade Saturday, several roads will be closed. Road closures will begin at 8 a.m. and include:

  • East Grand Avenue, east of the Hwy. 101 overpass;
  • West and East Branch Street from Rodeo Drive to Mason Street;
  • Traffic Way from West Branch Street to Station Way;
  • Mason Street from Le Point Street to Poole Street;
  • Bridge Street;
  • Short Street north of Nelson Street;
  • Nelson Street from Traffic Way to Mason Street; and
  • Olohan Alley from Bridge Street to Mason Street.

Local veterans will serve as the parade’s grand marshals this year and will be honored for their service. Among those being recognized are American Legion Post members, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post members and Central Coast Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 982. Flags will be passed out at the parade for the public to wave as the veterans pass by Saturday morning.
