Correction: An earlier version of this story gave an incorrect day for Charles Paddock Zoo's International Red Panda Day celebration. It's happening Saturday, not Friday.

The Charles Paddock Zoo introduced its two new baby red pandas Thursday.

The pandas, which were born June 15, are still small enough to be handled and are weighed regularly to ensure they’re healthy and growing well, said zoo director Alan Baker.

Until Thursday, the baby red pandas had not gone out into the display cage.

On Saturday, the public is invited to visit the zoo between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to help celebrate International Red Panda Day. The event will include games and special activities, and visitors will be able to submit name ideas for the babies. The festivities are included in the regular ticket price.
