The Paso Robles Children’s Museum has hired Jennifer Smith of Paso Robles as its first museum director.

Before hiring Smith, Tamara Richardson managed the museum, but it did not have a director.

Smith previously worked at the Children’s House Montessori School in Atascadero as a primary head teacher for five years, according to a news release. Before that, she worked in commercial printing and advertising in Southern California for 15 years.

The museum, also known as the Children’s Museum at the Paso Robles Volunteer Firehouse, is at 623 13th St. It is open Sunday, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
