Cuesta volleyball team splits in Ohlone tournament

The Cuesta College volleyball team lost its first match and won its second match at the Ohlone Quad Tournament in Fremont on Thursday. 

In their first match, the Cougars were swept by Lassen 25-16, 25-23, 25-22. Whitney Meyer led Cuesta with 15 assists and five kills, Riley Cooks had eight kills, and Zoe Bond had six kills. 

The Cougars  (4-2) then beat Ohlone, 25-20, 20-25, 18-25, 25-23, 16-14. 

Meyer switched from outside hitter to setter and had 44 assists. Cooks had 15 kills, and Cami Mauricio had 12 kills. Zoe Bond and Paige Waymire each had 10 kills.
