The Fresh & Easy in San Luis Obispo will not be one of several California locations to close its doors following the chain’s purchase on Tuesday.

According to a manager at the Broad Street location, who declined to share her name, the San Luis Obispo grocery store will continue to operate as normal.

Several Fresh & Easy locations throughout the state were not so fortunate, including those in Sacramento, San Francisco and San Diego, which will shut down following parent company Tesco’s announcement that it had sold the chain to The Yucaipa Companies LLC.

Yucaipa Companies is a Los Angeles-based company with stakes in Barnes & Noble, The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company and Barneys New York.

The Broad Street location is the only Fresh & Easy in San Luis Obispo County. The next closest location, in Santa Maria, will also remain open.
