Hollander also helped the Mustangs to a season-opening 27-28 win over UC Santa Barbara and was named the women’s Big West Cross Country Athlete of the Week.

Cal Poly’s Chris Frias was named the men’s Big West Cross Country Athlete of the Week after finishing second at the Lagoon Open and leading the Mustangs to a 26-29 win over the Gauchos. He covered the 8K course in 24:25.70.
