Man sought after robbery of Paso Robles gas station

A man is at large after allegedly robbing a Shell gas station in Paso Robles on Monday afternoon.

At around 4:30 p.m., a clerk at the Shell Station at 1244 24th St. called police to report that a man had entered the store and demanded money, telling the clerk he had a gun.

The clerk turned over $300 from the cash register, and the suspect fled on foot, said Lt. Ty Lewis of the Paso Robles Police Department.

The robber was described as a 6-foot-tall black man in his mid-30s. He was wearing a camouflage shirt, jeans, white tennis shoes and sunglasses.

The Paso Robles Police Department is asking anyone with tips to call 237-6464. Persons wishing to remain anonymous can call 549-STOP or text “SLOTIPS” plus the message to CRIMES (274637).
