Pinedorado

I was really surprised when I saw the picture on the front page of the Sept. 1 Local section.

This year’s Pinedorado is the 65th in a series (all sponsored by the Lions Club of Cambria) that brings in hordes of money which helps to support local charitable activities. To not even acknowledge that the Lions Club of Cambria has spent thousands of hours making this event happen is unforgivable.

The 93 members of the club must feel the “slap to the face” and may even question why they continue their subscription.

I am a member of the Arroyo Grande Lions Club, and I would hope that, during Harvest Festival time at the end of this month, all of the participating service clubs will receive equal ink as The Tribune makes the effort to right a big wrong in their coverage of Cambria’s Lions Pinedorado.

The Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
