Letter to the Editor

Huckfest was well managed

CambriaSeptember 1, 2013

The Aug. 30 Tribune editorial about Huckfest achieved a low in Dunes-related editorials.

The opening histrionics of a “scary” sounding promotional campaign belie the fact that this was a well-managed, injury-free event drawing an unexpectedly high turnout, which temporarily backed traffic.

The call for a review of logistics and traffic management prior to the next event is prudent. What’s baffling is the editorial’s “what if” conclusions promising condemnation should there be a “repeat” of a well-managed, well-attended, popular event that experienced no injuries.

The Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
