PCPA Theaterfest will stage its first show at the Chumash Casino Resort next month when it performs a special encore performance of “Always ... Patsy Cline.”

The Chumash, which has hosted music concerts, comedy shows and boxing, has never hosted a purely theatrical event before. The venue’s 1,400-seat Samala Showroom will offer a much larger audience for the PCPA, which has been producing shows for nearly 50 years.

“Always ... Patsy Cline” is based on “Honky Tonk Angel,” a Cline biography that chronicled the real-life meeting between Cline, the legendary country singer who tragically died in a plane crash, and a devoted fan, Louise Seger. The show has played to regional theaters across the country.

The show will be performed at Chumash on Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30. For more information, also visit the website at www.chumashcasino.com or call StarTicketsPlus at 1-800-585-3737.
