Smartphone app aims to make parking in SLO easier

Need to find a place to park in San Luis Obispo? There’s an app for that.

The ParkMe app, available for Android and iPhone, now includes information on parking in San Luis Obispo, such as where lots and structures are located and how much it costs to park there. The free app also provides site-specific information about payment options, hours of operation and special features, such as electric vehicle chargers.

Once parked, drivers can also use the app to track their parking time and help them find their car when they leave. Eventually, the city will add real-time data to find out which structures are full, as well as information about street parking.
