Water rush

Paso RoblesAugust 19, 2013

The recent unprecedented spate of applications for well drilling permits is the most telling argument of all that we cannot self-manage our dwindling Paso Robles water supply.

Faced with our water crisis, the reasonable response is to conserve, to learn to make do with less water. Instead, there has been a greedy rush to drill more and deeper wells. Take, take, take until there is no more.

Any proposed solution that is either voluntary or governed by a water district run by the largest landowners will clearly not be in the best interest of the citizens of the North County.
