At least one stabbed as fights break out in Paso Robles

San Luis Obispo - The TribuneAugust 18, 2013

The Paso Robles Police Department is investigating two incidents that occurred over the weekend in the Pine Street area, one of which involved the stabbing of a minor, according to a news release.

The first incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. Friday when police received reports of several Hispanic males fighting in the street along the 1100 block of Pine, according to the release.

Witnesses reported seeing one of the men chasing another with a knife is his hand, and a man may have been stabbed, according to the release.

The men were not at the scene when police arrived, and no victims have come forward claiming they were stabbed, police say.

The second incident occurred along the 3100 block of Pine between 9 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday

According to the release, a 16-year-old male, who was being treated for non-life-threatening stab wounds to his arms and back, told police he was assaulted by several Hispanic males in front of his home on Pine Street.

It is unknown whether the two events are associated or gang related, according to the release.

Paso Robles police are searching for three cars that may have been involved in the incidents: a gold Chevrolet pickup with a bed cover and tinted windows, a silver Pontiac Grand Am with a dent near the rear of the car and a brown four-door Honda or Acura.

Anyone with information can call the police at 237-6464, use the Crime Stoppers 24-hour hotline at 549-STOP or text “SLOTIPS” plus the message to CRIMES (274637).
