Term limits for all

Morro BayAugust 14, 2013

Rep. Lois Capps exemplifies the need for term limits on politicians at all levels. She knows little but the talking points of Sen. Charles Schumer, the Democrat “point man” on immigration.

In the first place, the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act already provides for the securing of the border, but Democrat and Republican party politicians have consistently refused to fund border security. Border security is what the vast majority of Americans want, and have wanted for three decades.

Secondly, the idea she tries to articulate that somehow America absolutely cannot get along and survive unless it has slave labor (I’m calling it what it is!) from a thirdworld country is patently ridiculous.

The fact of the matter is that politicians of both parties are trying to bring in more voters and curry favor with the corporatists who fund political campaigns. Public opinion be damned!

The American people want their elected representatives to respect and fulfill their oaths of office to faithfully execute and carry out the laws of this nation, and they aren’t doing it.
