Letter to the Editor

A different society

CambriaAugust 14, 2013

Everything is subordinate to the needs of people — not rules, not governors or presidents or any public officials, or anyone, for that matter.

We should decide issues on the basis of what people need and nothing else. Rules and people can change just as the Constitution has changed over the years. Man and woman should be the center of the universe, period.

While the founding fathers did a great job of creating the type of government we have, their voices should not guide us today. We live in a far different society than they did.

The Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
