Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo de Tolosa chooses Rotarian of the Year

The Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo de Tolosa recently named Jim Eaton, of Warren/Eaton Marketing Group, as its Rotarian of the Year for 2012-13.

According to a news release, Eaton exemplified the Rotary’s focus on service by volunteering for multiple projects this past year, including judging for local 4-H events, participating in the Meadow Park Community Garden Cleanup and acting as “Rotaract advisor” to San Luis Obispo County young adults, ages 18 to 30.

Eaton will now serve as membership director for the club and be part of its Board of Directors.

Other new members of the 2013-14 board include Michelle Garlick, club service; Lynne Callahan, international service; Phillip Koziel, community service; Gayvette Spencer, youth service; and Mark Anelli, programs chair.

They will join veteran board members, Jenifer Rhynes, president; David Juhnke, president-elect; Carl Dudley, past president; Melinda Thomas, vice president; Ali Semon, secretary; Laura Krueger, treasurer; Chris Gardner, sergeant at arms; Karen Libby, vocational service; Barry Karleskint, parliamentarian; Mary Verdin, public relations; Rick Owens, fundraising chair; and Jeff Garza, foundation chair.
