Atascadero police have arrested one man and are seeking another in connection with an alleged attempted murder that occurred Friday, Aug. 2.

Around 7 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a call from Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton reporting that a man had been admitted to the emergency room with multiple stab wounds, according to a news release from the Atascadero Police Department.

During the investigation, two suspects in the stabbing were identified and warrants were obtained for their arrest. Their cars were also identified as vehicles wanted in conjunction with a felony.

On Monday evening, a CHP officer stopped one of the vehicles on Fourth Street near Ocean View Avenue in Grover Beach.

Michael Anthony Nunez, 24, of Atascadero was arrested and booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on the warrant for attempted murder.

The Atascadero Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in finding the second suspect, 35-year-old Albert Earnest Moore of Atascadero.

Moore is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 190 and 215 pounds.

Moore is believed to be driving a brown Chrysler Sebring convertible with a California license plate number of 4BUB576.

Anyone who has information about Moore is advised to call Atascadero police at 461-5051.

Moore is considered armed and dangerous, and citizens should not attempt to approach him, the news release said.
