The Big Apple is getting a little taste of the SLO life this week: From Monday through Sunday, a clip of San Luis Obispo will play on ABCs 3,685-square-foot screen in New York City's Times Square.
The five-second clip will run 120 times in that seven-day span as a part of a special advertising package purchased by the citys tourism business improvement district, according to a news release.
As a part of the deal, the city will also be featured in a full-page advertorial in lifestyle and travel publication Horizon Travel Magazine.
San Luis Obispo's tourism business improvement district was established in 2008 and collects a fee for occupied hotel rooms in the city. It then uses that money to market San Luis Obispo as a tourism destination.
