Cambria-area residents who would like to represent their neighborhoods on the North Coast Advisory Council can apply now to fill vacancies for alternate seats.
There are four seats available, representing: the Happy Hill-Leimert-Moonstone neighborhoods (area 2); Marine Terrace to Trenton, Ardath and Benson (area 6); Top of the World and mid-Lodge Hill (area 7); and Latino/Latina constituents.
Maps for the geographic areas are online at www.northcoastadvisorycouncil.org, as are applications, bylaws and other information.
The council recommends actions to Supervisor Bruce Gibson and all other county agencies and departments. NCAC members review items ranging from countywide land-use regulations to remodeling projects.
The unpaid council members serve two-year terms, meeting on the third Wednesday of every month except December.
Completed applications may be sent to council Chairwoman Claudia Harmon Worthen, 416 Dorset, Cambria CA 93428. For details, call her at 927-1934.
