Justin Vineyards completes remodel of tasting room

A substantial undertaking to remodel its tasting room, restaurant and inn is now complete at Justin Vineyards & Winery Paso Robles. The new facilities, at 11680 Chimney Rock Road, will be open to the public Friday, officials said.

The newly renovated, two-story tasting room was redesigned to make its indoor and outdoor spaces larger in the former farm-house style building. The changes add nearly 2,000 square feet to the original footprint, according to a press release. The new design is described as “clean (and) contemporary,” featuring higher ceilings and large windows framing the winery’s estate vineyards. A tiered patio was also added for seating, a new outdoor tasting bar and a gourmet outdoor kitchen for a picnic lunch or food and cheese pairings outside.

The estate’s small restaurant and three-suite inn at the same site also underwent changes. The eatery, which is in the same building at the tasting room, was repositioned for better views and the guest suites received new furniture, style and amenities.
Construction began in January. The company didn’t respond to requests for the cost of the renovations.

The tasting room is open daily from 10 a.m. to the last tasting at 4:30 p.m.
