We currently have several incongruities being reported in the media. First, it is reported that Congress approval rating is down to 12 percent, yet in the 2012 election, 90 percent of incumbents were re-elected.
Barack Obama has one white parent and one black parent and is referred to as our first black president, yet George Zimmerman, who has one white parent and one Latino parent, is referred to as a white neighborhood watchperson.
We read that millions of Americans suffer food insecurity, yet one of our major health problems is widespread obesity.
Some media reports that crime rates would come down if only we had more stringent firearm laws, but Chicago, which has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country, had more than 500 murders last year.
Apparently the media is content to disseminate news without any regard to believability.
