Author Catherine Ryan Hyde, a resident of Cambria, has bumped J.K. Rowling from the top slot in the Amazon Author Rank list of top-selling authors.

Late Monday night, Ryan Hyde tweeted, “I just bumped JK Rowling out of #1 in Kindle,” with the hashtag, “#EvenIDontBelieveIt.”

Other prominent authors on the list, which is based on the on-line retailer’s total sales of books in printed, electronic and audio formats, on Tuesday morning, July 30, included James Patterson (No. 3), Stephen King (No. 9), and Dan Brown (No. 10).

Amazon does not say what period of time are covered by the sales data, or how many books are sold. Amazon launched the list in October.

Ryan Hyde has published 22 books. Two, 'Walk Me Home' and 'When I Found You,' were at No. 1 and No. 3, respectively, in the Amazon Best Seller list for Kindle books on Tuesday morning.
