Hasay, Day, Lowe among Team USA athletes for worlds next month in Moscow

As expected, former Mission Prep distance runner Jordan Hasay, former Cal Poly high jumper and soccer standout Sharon Day and former North County resident Chaunte Lowe were named Monday to Team USA in track and field for the IAAF World Championships from Aug. 10-18 in Moscow.

Hasay, a former Oregon standout, will compete in the women’s 10,000 meters.

Day, a two-time Olympian, will compete in the women’s heptathlon.

Lowe, a 2012 Diamond League champion, will compete in the women’s high jump.
