Seven arrested in Paso Robles drug bust

Seven people were arrested this weekend at a home in Paso Robles after a month-long narcotic sales investigation that culminated in the seizure of $2,770 in cash and $1,000 worth of black tar heroin.

The Paso Robles Police Department's Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant at around 7 a.m. Saturday at a residence on the 100 block of Pioneer Trail Drive.

There was one child in the home at the time of the search.

Seven Paso Robles residents were arrested, including the following people on suspicion of felony crimes:

  • Aaron Charlton, 29, on suspicion of possession of heroin for sale;
  • David Whittaker, 20, on suspicion of possession of heroin, child endangerment and several warrants;
  • Chad McCullough, 28, on suspicion of possession of heroin for sale and several warrants; and 
  • Kateen Setting, 18,  on suspicion of child endangerment.
