To add to Allan Deshons July 22 letter Slow work in Paso, a drive around town would make any tourist feel like they are in a developing country. Many streets are crumbling, and some public buildings are surrounded by weeds. I might as well mention, after all the hootin and hollerin when the Charolais and River Road trails opened, they are now abandoned and overgrown.
The pride in managing Paso Robles public resources has obviously not been given a priority status. Maybe the mayor and the city manager should journey through their domain and survey the problems firsthand to realize the town deserves better.
