John Mayer performed at the California Mid-State Fair on Monday, July 22, 2013

John Mayer performed in front of thousands of fair-goers Monday, July 22, 2013.

Mayer, known for songs such as "Your Body is a Wonderland," "Say," and "Waiting on the World to Change," is a singer-songwriter who has won seven Grammys while selling 17 million albums.

From rock to blues, hip-hop to jazz and country, Mayer has performed with Eric Clapton, BB King, Buddy Guy, T-Bone Burnett, Dixie Chicks, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. Mayer also performed at the fair in 2008.

Opening for Mayer was Phillip Phillips, who won the 11th season of "American Idol" and is known for his hit song "Home," which was the anthem for the 2012 U.S. Olympics Women’s Gymnastic’s team.
