Police identify man who died in Hwy. 227 motorcycle crash

The man who died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 227 on June 13 has been identified as Robert McDonald, 31, of Pismo Beach.

McDonald died in the accident near Holland Ranch, which is across from the Cold Canyon Landfill, when his 2008 Triumph 1050 motorcycle collided around 1:30 p.m. with a 2007 Toyota 4Runner driven by Linda Ford, 66, of Bakersfield. Ford was treated for minor injuries, according to a CHP news release.

The circumstances of the collision are unclear, and the CHP is requesting that anyone who witnessed the crash or were at the scene immediately following it contact 593-3300.
