'Poser' wins top honors and annual Prefix 927 Art Show

Wearing sandals and a wristwatch and wielding a walking stick, ‘The Poser’ by Rich Morriss made its way into judge’s hearts at the 25th annual Prefix 927 Art Show July 13 and 14 at the Veterans Memorial Building, winning the top cash prize.

‘Bling Box’ a wood sculpture by Susan Owen and Dennis Kish that started out as a jewelry box with a mirror and ended up with a Green Man image, took second.

Laura Mennella’s  ‘Zebra Lizard’ was third.

Beverly Whitaker’s life-size ‘Shredded Man’ received the Robin’s Award, one 29 merchant awards.

Approximately 45 artists submitted 88 entries in the annual benefit. Proceeds support the Allied Arts Association scholarship fund.
