A probation sweep of the North County led to the arrest of 19 people Tuesday on probation or parole violations, or new criminal charges.

Law enforcement personnel contacted 61 individuals about 6 p.m. on probation and parole in Paso Robles, Atascadero, Templeton and San Miguel, according to a news release.

Officers also confiscated a firearm, other weapons, methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and possible evidence of narcotic sales.

Child Welfare Services responded to one location where two children had been exposed to drugs, the news release said.

The San Luis Obispo County Probation Department partnered with police from Paso Robles and Atascadero, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office, the CHP, Atascadero State Hospital, Homeland Security and Paso Robles Code Enforcement, among other groups.

All arrestees were taken to San Luis Obispo County Jail or San Luis Obispo County Juvenile Hall for booking.
