SLO air district challenges businesses to prevent pollution

The SLO County Air Pollution Control District is offering awards to businesses that go beyond what is required by state, federal, or local laws to reduce pollution.

The 2013 Pollution Prevention Business Challenge awards are available to businesses located within San Luis Obispo County and who hold an APCD stationary or portable source permit, according to a recent news release.

Applications are available at http://slocleanair.org/community/2013p2 or by calling 781-5912. The deadline is Aug. 6.
