Around 9:30 p.m., officers tried to stop Stephanie Victoria Montero, 26, for speeding on southbound Highway 101, CHP Sgt. Danny Koetsier said.

Montero briefly yielded for officers, then took off, leading them on a chase that ended about 20 minutes later after officers deployed a spike strip, Koetsier said. Montero exited the freeway in Pismo Beach and was arrested.
