How about Bracket?

Arroyo GrandeJuly 12, 2013

It was sad last month when we lost our supervisor, Paul Teixeira. He was developing into a good representative of District 4. Now we need to look forward to an appointment by the governor to fill his spot.

A review of the articles in The Tribune shows names of good replacements; however, these people will only fill a void. We need not only to have someone who can come to the table and serve Paul’s term, but also who can be elected for the future term.

As a former mayor of Arroyo Grande, I was surprised not to see among the names someone who can fulfill those requirements: Ruth Bracket. As a former District 4 supervisor, she could bring a past and present knowledge of issues that will be addressed by the board.

Someone should ask her about filling this seat. I will if you want me to.

Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
