Mothers for Peace talk is postponed

UPDATE 10:38 a.m.: A fundraising talk by Mothers for Peace attorney Diane Curran has been postponed indefinitely, according to Mothers for Peace. No date for a rescheduled discussion was available.

Original story: Mothers for Peace attorney Diane Curran will give a fundraising talk to discuss the efforts of the group to safeguard Diablo Canyon and other nuclear power plants in the nation.

She will also talk about the group’s opposition to Diablo Canyon’s license renewal.

The event will be held July 20 from 2 to 5 p.m. at 1615 Tiffany Ranch Road in Arroyo Grande.

Curran is based in Washington, D.C., and specializes in the law governing the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Call 234-1769 for reservations. A donation of $30 per person is requested.
