The Marianne Talley Foundation celebrated its 20th Annual Fun Run on June 2 at Talley Vineyards. The 5K winner, Christian Ricketts, age 13, finished in 16:11 — a new course record! Julia Bounds, 14, was the top 5K female finisher with 18:48. The 10K winner, Christopher Norling, 22, finished in 35:33 and Kara Thorne, 30, the top 10K female, in 38:52. Since 1993, the foundation has granted more than $200,000 in scholarships to 42 deserving Arroyo Grande High School students, with the fun run as the primary fundraiser.
