The Morro Bay Art Associations upcoming San Luis Obispo County juried show is called Palette Talent.

I dont see a mention of spray paint for that show, but thats OK. The Vapor Gallery has that covered for its July group exhibit 99 Cans Of Paint On The Wall. Lena Rushing is one of 37 local and California artists who have created a tribute to the spray paint can.
My Facebook scroll came to an immediate halt when I saw a pic of Lenas entry posted. Just beautiful. The shop and gallery is at 508 Higuera St. in San Luis Obispo.
Lena has a solo show at Linnaeas Café, 1110 Garden St., San Luis Obispo, in July. Dont miss her paintings and mixed media.
And to enjoy her works in progress, search Lena Rushing paintings and mixed media art on Facebook.
Another good one should be a July retrospective of long-time Cambrian Art Van Rhyns paintings and sculptures at the Cambria Center for the Arts, 1350 Main St., Cambria sponsored by the Allied Arts Association.
Not too long ago, I wrote about an event to benefit Los Padres ForestWatchs ongoing efforts to protect wildlife habitat and wilderness landscapes. The San Luis Outdoor Painters for the Environment (SLOPE) sold paintings at the fundraiser and has extended the show and sale online. ForestWatch receives 40 percent of the proceeds.
