Back nuclear power

Arroyo GrandeJuly 7, 2013

Now that San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station has been closed, it seems there will be a need to fill as far as electric power goes. I think since there are two generating reactors here in SLO County that there is plenty of room to accommodate more. I am of the opinion that nuclear power is good for the community and the economy in SLO County. It is a clean source of power, it leaves a small footprint compared to other types of electrical generation, and it makes sense overall.

Where is the support?

Not all of us are retired, wealthy citizens. I think we as a community need to look to the future and nuclear power as a source of stability in our county.
