Crash landing at San Francisco International Airport impacting SLO flights

San Luis Obispo - The TribuneJuly 6, 2013

Passengers waiting for flights into and out of San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport were waylaid Saturday because of a Korean airliner that crash-landed at San Francisco International Airport earlier in the day.

“Anything operating into or out of San Francisco has been delayed or canceled today,” said Marissa Snow, a spokesperson for Sky West Airlines, which is a United Express partner and runs flights from San Luis Obispo to San Francisco.

If passengers want to know about flights into or out of San Luis Obispo, they should go to www.delta.com or www.united.com, Snow said.

Robin Greene and her daughter Laura, both of Arroyo Grande, were on their way to Portland, Ore., on Saturday.

Robin Greene said the pair had been given tickets to Portland via Phoenix, Ariz., from another airline.
