Cal Poly softball junior third baseman Jillian Andersen became the first Mustangs player in four years to earn Easton All-America praise Friday.

Andersen, named to the Easton second team, paced the 2013 Cal Poly squad with a .325 batting average, a .402 on-base percentage and 53 hits. Andersen also batted a team-leading .359 in 18 conference games, and led the Mustangs with 14 multi-hit games and five three-hit games.

Andersen, who earned All-Big West second-team praise in May, is the first Mustang named to an Easton All-America team since pitcher and designated player Anna Cahn’s third-team selection in 2009.
