A county building in Grover Beach was evacuated Friday after someone made a bomb threat that turned out to be a false alarm, according to police.

The San Luis Obispo County Office of Alcohol Services and Probation Department offices at 1523 Longbranch Ave. were evacuated as a precaution after a male called and made the threat at 3:46 p.m. The County Health Department building next door was also evacuated.

No device resembling a bomb was found in the area.

Grover Beach police are conducting a criminal investigation into the threat.
