Each day, dispatchers from the seven police departments in San Luis Obispo County take dozens of calls from residents seeking help for issues ranging from minor disputes to serious crimes. The Tribune provides coverage of serious crimes every day on its news pages. Here is alook at some of the other, more unusual calls as found in recent police logs from Atascadero.

You don’t know me 4:28 a.m. June 16, 9300 El Bordo Ave.

A resident said someone was banging on her door and saying he knew her from the Internet.

Sweet revenge 7:31 a.m. June 16, 9300 block of Jornada Lane

A citizen said his car’s tires were slashed and someone put sugar in the gas tank.

Take one down, pass it around 6:35 p.m. June 17, 2050 El Camino Real

A man was sitting behind the Dollar Tree with seven 40-ounce bottles and several cans of beer around him.

Toy soldier on patrol 7:21 p.m. June 17, 5000 Miramon Ave.

Someone found a toy gun in the roadway.

Weak link 10:07 a.m. June 19, 6505 El Camino Real

A man was striking a chain against a stone bench at Sunken Gardens and speaking to himself. An officer talked to the man, who agreed to put away the chain.

Make the call 10:17 p.m. June 18, 100 block of Via Manzanita in Paso Robles

A woman said she got a phone call from her daughter, who said she heard a loud crash downstairs in her home in Paso Robles. The woman was advised to have her daughter call 911.
