Truck in water

TempletonJune 26, 2013

Reading the articles about the water crisis in North County has many residents very concerned. The wineries take up most of the water that we need in order to support their crops.

I believe if the wineries here want to continue to milk area residential wells dry, they should be responsible to have their water supply trucked in to feed their crops — instead of forcing residents who don’t grow grapes to either drill or truck in water for their water needs. Most people who own their own lands, and are not grape growers, can’t afford to have new wells drilled or truck in water.

Simple solution: Wineries make the bucks; have them drill new wells or truck in their water supplies to feed their crops. End of story.
